Who We Are, What We Believe, Why We're Here

Who We Are

The Moose Horn River Church is a non-denominational church that stands firm upon biblical truth
as we worship, fellowship, pray, serve, and study Scripture together.

We are young and old, families and singles, new believers and mature believers, longstanding locals and weekend visitors.
We come from a variety of church backgrounds, but share a desire to let God's Word transform our lives as we follow Jesus.

What We Believe

The Moose Horn River Church is a non-denominational church that believes in standing firmly on biblical truth. We believe the Holy Bible is without error and relevant for everyone. We believe the Lord our God is One and exists eternally in three persons--God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit—all of whom are fully divine and worthy of our worship.

We believe all people are inherently sinful and we must rely on the shed blood of Jesus Christ to restore our relationship with God. Only by faith and God’s grace can we be spiritually reborn and inherit eternal life. We are called to grow in spiritual maturity by repenting and laying aside our sinful desires so that we might be in a right relationship with God. We believe in serving the Lord regardless of the sacrifice, discomfort or inconvenience that it may entail.

We believe all life is sacred from conception to natural death. We believe God created two distinct genders that reflect His image and nature, and we believe that marriage is an exclusive union between one man and one woman.

We believe the church is the body of Christ here on Earth, and we are brought together by our shared faith in Jesus as the only forgiveness for our sins. Every believer is an integral part of that body, and we are called to worship, fellowship, pray, serve, learn, teach, evangelize and encourage one another as we use our God-given gifts to further God’s kingdom on Earth.

Prayer—both individual and collective—is an integral practice in our church. We believe the Holy Spirit continues His work through us as He grants spiritual gifts so that we may join in the Great Commission—to further spread the good news of Jesus Christ within our local neighborhoods and in all the world beyond.

Finally, we believe that Christ will return at the end of the age to resurrect and gather His church before pouring out His righteous wrath upon the world in judgment. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will live in eternal life with Christ and those who live in rebellion against God will stand before Christ to be judged and face eternal punishment. God will then make all things new and the saints will live with Christ in a dwelling place of righteousness where He will reign forever and ever.

As a church, we desire that all people will be saved by God's grace once we repent of our sins and confess that Jesus is Lord.
We seek to obey God's commands and His will for our lives no matter the sacrifice, discomfort or inconvenience.

We desire that our lives will be transformed as the Holy Spirit convicts and empowers us.
We desire to be light to those around us so that all might come to know Christ's eternal love for His people.
We desire to be a praying church that petitions the Lord as well as listens to the Lord.
